Sudan Kirati, a former minister, has joined the Labour Culture Party. Kirati entered the party during a program held in Kathmandu on Friday.

He was welcomed into the party by its president, Harka Sampang.

An agreement has been made to give Kirati the second-highest rank in the party after Sampang. Previously, Kirati was a member of the chairperson council of the Progressive Democratic Party.

He, along with Janardan Sharma and others, had formed a new party after splitting from the then CPN Maoist Centre. Kirati had left that party some time ago.
