Rato Machhindranath chariot procession continues from Mangal Bazaar to Sundhara

In Kathmandu, the chariot of Rato Machhindranath, the deity of rain and prosperity, was pulled from Gabahal to Mangal Bazaar on Wednesday. The chariot was taken to Mangal Bazaar with the active participation of local residents and Guthi members.

Today, Thursday, the plan is to move the chariot from Mangal Bazaar to Sundhara in Patan. According to the festival schedule, the chariot will depart for Sundhara later this afternoon.

The Rato Machhindranath chariot procession, which officially began on Tuesday, was pulled from Pulchowk to Gabahal. Since early this morning, a large crowd of devotees has gathered at Mangal Bazaar for worship and offerings.

Local residents are engaged in viewing and worshipping the chariot. To ensure the festival is conducted peacefully and grandly, security measures have been strengthened.
