Highway Blocked After Fatal Tipper-Auto Collision in Deukhuri, Dang

The highway in the Kalakate area of Deukhuri, Dang, has been obstructed following a fatal collision between a tipper truck and an auto-rickshaw that resulted in one death.

Relatives of the deceased and local residents blocked the highway demanding strict action against the tipper driver after 36-year-old Jor Kumar Pun, a resident of Gadhwa Rural Municipality-1, Kalakate, lost his life in the accident.

According to the police, the accident occurred this morning when a tipper (Na 8 Kha 3264) heading toward Kalakate from Bhalubang collided with an auto-rickshaw (Ra 1 Ha 7355) coming from the opposite direction.

Auto driver Jor Kumar Pun was critically injured in the crash. He was rushed to Bhalubang Hospital for treatment but unfortunately passed away during the process. The body is currently being kept at Bhalubang Hospital.

Police Inspector Dabal Bahadur Bam informed that the Gadhwa Area Police Office has taken both the tipper and its driver into custody for further investigation.
