In his video address to the Nepalis living inside the country and the world outside, on the occasion of 304th birth anniversary of late  King Prithvi Narayan Shah,  he said the crisis so deep can be resolved only through ‘National consensus’ .’Let us move in the journey of prosperity together.’   Invoked Prithvi Narayan Shah to reiterate that the King and the citizens, have builty this country together , and ‘they are equal stake holders.’
The former King devoted more time in explaining different aspects of the ‘Prithvi Path’, —domestic policy, king and people relation, foreign policy based on peace and dignity , probity in public life,   and ban on flight of national capital as explained in the Divyopadesh –and asserted that as a representative and descendent of Prithvi Narayan Shah ‘s dynasty, his vision and legacy, ‘ i and clear about my role,’ adding ‘the monarchy (Rajsanstha’ that worked for so long as the common representative of Nepalis of all faiths and geography can not be away from the responsibility assigned to it.’
In his message that contained appeal to the rich , resourceful and skilled as well as ordinary people , he said,’ this trend must be controlled and discouraged  , and nothing gives us more pain than the possibility of the country drifting towards failure.’ He said .
The former king came down directly upon the political parties , sympathizing with the cause and casualty during the September Youth protest against corruption. ‘ Neglecting youth aspiration and needs creates discontent which may also take the form of revolt .
‘The trend of  leaders time and again using youths and not working in their interest  has resulted in youth discontent and huge loss of life and property. ‘Loss of their lives was nation’s shock..
‘ While youths intolerance towards corruption and their growing interest in IT is a positive thing, but political disinterest in that will cause huge loss of opportunity.
He also said organic initiatives promote national interest where people working at others behest look for similar allies elsewhere.’
The Former king said a failure to appreciate Nepal’s sensitivities and changing geopolitical situation may result in the loss of trust and reliability of the friendly countries . Recalling his exit from the Naryanhiti Royal Palace about two decades ago, Shah said because of the mischief injected  from somewhere, and as per the wishes of the political parties in power that they will bring peace, economic prosperity and stability, ‘we handed over the crown and the scepter to the safe custody of the people with a constructive intent.’ ‘ That was neither a departure from our duty nor endorsement of the politics of exclusion’, adding ‘  that is not something the people wanted.’ ‘we are more worried today about the existential fear of the country.’
‘ He appealed to the Nepalis every where –Nepal or abroad–to continue their link with their country of origin  in pursuit of the spirit of Prithvipath.
