3 Idiots to get a Sequel After 15 Years ; Beloved Cast & Crew Reunite

According to Indian media, director Rajkumar Hirani has already locked the script for 3 Idiots 2. Through this film, about 15 years later, Aamir Khan, Kareena Kapoor Khan, R. Madhavan and Sharman Joshi are set to appear together onscreen again.

The film will be jointly produced by Vidhu Vinod Chopra, Rajkumar Hirani and Aamir Khan.

According to Pinkvilla’s report, shooting for the film is expected to begin in 2026. The story will start roughly fifteen years after the end of the first part, capturing new and entertaining chapters in the matured lives of the characters  – Rancho, Farhan, Raju and Pia.

Originally published in 2009, 3 Idiots made history at the box office by ushering in the “₹ 200 crore club.
