Durga Prasai was taken to the Government Attorney’s Office for an extension of detention

Kathmandu – Medical businessman Durga Prasai, who was arrested at midnight, has been taken to the Government Attorney’s Office for an extension of his detention.

When journalists asked about the arrest, he said he did not know what the charges against him were.

Prasai, the coordinator of the “Nation, Nationality, Religion, Culture, and Citizen Protection Mega Campaign,” is reportedly facing charges of public peace violation.

He was taken into custody by a joint team from the Kathmandu District Police and the Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office from his home in Bhaktapur late Monday night.
