Three workers trapped when Bhat‑Bhateni Super Store collapsed have been rescued

Kathmandu — Three workers have been rescued after being trapped when the Bhat Bhateni Super Store, Naxal in Naxal, which had been damaged by arson in the “Gen-Z movement”, suddenly collapsed on Sunday during demolition.

Seventeen workers were assigned to the demolition of the Bhat Bhateni location. During the process, the rear section of the store collapsed and trapped the workers.

According to eyewitnesses, rescue efforts were facilitated as the police reached the site as soon as the building fell. Kathmandu Police Chief Ramesh Thapa (SSP) went to the scene with his team.

The three rescued are being treated at the Teaching Hospital. The injured include: 25-year-old Dipak Tamang from Hetauda, 33-year-old Rajkumar Syangtan, and 31-year-old Bijay Pakhrin.
