Kathmandu – The work to remove the landslide that fell near Tuin Khola on the Muglin–Narayangadh road section is currently ongoing.

As of 2:45 PM on Thursday, around 60% of the debris removal had been completed, according to the Road Division Office in Bharatpur.

To clear the landslide, the Road Division Bharatpur has deployed five machines: one excavator and one loader from the Narayangadh side, and two loaders and one excavator from the Muglin side.

While removing the debris, large boulders on the Narayangadh side have caused some difficulties. Additionally, the presence of small and sharp rocks has led to problems such as frequent tire punctures and injuries to equipment operators from falling rocks.

Due to these challenges and slower-than-expected progress, the Road Division has requested two additional operators from the Heavy Equipment Division offices in Hetauda and Dumre.

The Road Division stated that the debris removal is ongoing continuously, and if no further obstacles occur, the road is expected to be fully operational by tonight.
