14,057 students pass Kathmandu scholarship selection exam for classes 11 and 12

In Kathmandu, 18 Jestha: A total of 14,057 students have passed the scholarship selection exam conducted by the Kathmandu Metropolitan City.

The scholarship selection exam was held on Sunday, and the results were published based on the decision of the scholarship exam committee. Students who scored a minimum of 40 marks were included in the preliminary merit list.

The scholarship is for studying in classes 11 and 12 at institutional educational institutions under the metropolitan city for the academic session 2083/084. Students can view their results by entering their roll number, date of birth, and password (received via mobile/email) on the online portal where they filled out the form.

Education Officer and Exam Committee Coordinator Namaraj Dhakal stated that since these are preliminary results, students who are not satisfied can apply for a re-evaluation by Jestha 20 during office hours.

According to him, the highest score in the exam was 92, achieved by one student. The second highest score was 91, also by one student, and five students scored 90 marks.

If students are dissatisfied with the published results, they can submit an application for re-evaluation to the education department by Jestha 20, along with a copy of the admission card and a revenue deposit of one thousand rupees. The metropolitan city had announced the scholarship selection on Jestha 3.

The exam was conducted at 83 centers. Out of 26,888 students who applied online, including 16,549 male, 10,333 female, and six other students, 26,603 applications were approved.

Of the approved applicants, 22,020 students participated in the exam, according to the metropolitan city.
