Nepal has won the final match of ACC Men’s Premier League One Day International defeating UAE.
With the victory, Nepal has secured its place for the Asia Cup scheduled to take place in coming September. Nepal is to meet India and Pakistan who are in the group ‘A’ along with Nepal. Afghanistan, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh are in the group ‘B’.
Nepal chased the target of 118 runs at a loss of 3 wickets with 117 balls remaining in the match played at TU Cricket Ground. Gulsan Jha and Bhim Sakri shared 96. They contributed 67 and 36 respectively in the victory of Nepal. Jha hit six sixes and three fours in 84 balls and Sarki hit four fours in 71 balls.
The final match played yesterday had been postponed due to rain. The game was halted at 27.3 overs with UAE scoring 106 runs with a loss of 9 wickets.
The game today was resumed with Lalit Rajbanshi of Nepal to bowl the fourth bowl of the 28th over.
