Kathmandu – Bamdev Gautam, chairman of the CPN National Unity Campaign, has expressed profound happiness following the formal unification with the CPN (Unified Socialist). After the merger, Gautam now holds the third-highest position in the unified party, after Madhav Nepal and Jhalanath Khanal.

Gautam stated that he has made two life‑long commitments: to abolish the monarchy and to unify the divided communist movement in Nepal. He pledged to continue the communist struggle even if he lives to be a hundred.

He shared his joy, saying: “After four years of effort, the two parties have finally merged. Today I am extremely happy—not just a little, truly overjoyed” .

Reflecting on his personal journey, Gautam recounted that he once carried heavy burdens after just passing the SLC in the third division; now he feels great satisfaction and peace in his life
