UN Secy general visit called off

Kathmandu, 11 Oct: The proposed visit of The United Nations Secretary General Antonio Guterres to Nepal from October 14 has been called off.

According to sources, the emerging global situation following Hamas attack on Israel has led to the cancellation of the visit.

Foreign Ministry spokesperson, Swea Lamsal has informed that the visit has been postponed.

Secretary General Guterres was also scheduled to have visited Lumbini during his Nepal trip.
