UML ministers resign, left Unity proves a failure again
Kathmandu: All the Ministers belonging to the Communist party of Nepal- Unified Marxist Leninist, resigned this evening leaving the much trumpeted Left Unity in the lurch.
Deputy Prime Minister Raghubir Mahaseth and seven others handed over their resignation to Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda marking the end of The UML-Maoist marriage of convenience that lasted four months.
Today’s collective resignation of UML ministers and withdrawal of the support clearly reduces Prachanda’s government to minority but the Prime Minister has announced that he would seek vote of confidence.
Under the new agreement between Nepali Congress and UML, KP oli will form the new government replacing Prachanda , and hand over the leadership to Deuba towards the second half of the remaining 44 months tenure of current politics.
