Three names recommended for the position of Tribhuvan University Vice-Chancellor

Kathmandu – A committee formed to recommend candidates for the vacant position of Vice-Chancellor at Tribhuvan University has submitted three names to Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli today.

The committee, led by Minister of Education, Science, and Technology Raghujji Panta, made these recommendations to Prime Minister and Chancellor Oli.

The nominees include the current acting Vice-Chancellor Dr. Khadga KC, former Dean of the Faculty of Science at Tribhuvan University Dr. Binil Aryal, and the former Head of the Department of Water and Meteorology, Dr. Deepak Aryal.

The position became vacant after Vice-Chancellor Dr. Kesharjung Baral’s resignation was accepted on the 11th of April. Subsequently, on April 14th, Chancellor Oli appointed Education Chief KC as the acting Vice-Chancellor for a maximum of three months until the position is permanently filled.

On May 20th, Chancellor Oli established the recommendation committee, including the member overseeing education in the National Planning Commission and the Secretary of the Ministry of Education, with Education Minister Panta as its chair.
