Tharu Community Celebrates Maghi Festival (PHOTOS)

The Tharu community in the Kathmandu Valley has celebrated the Maghi festival with various events.

The festival was celebrated at Tundikhel in the capital.

They had a rally and marched from Basantpur to Tundikhel. Participants in the rally wore cultural attire.

The Tharu community celebrates Magh 1st as their New Year. The Maghi festival is typically observed by bathing, giving donations, and enjoying food and festivities.
