Stock Market Sees Improvement on Second Day of Trading This Week

After a decline on the first day of trading this week, the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index has shown a recovery today. The NEPSE index has increased by 15.83 points, reaching a point of 2,683.24 today.

Today, shares of 309 companies, totaling 12,263,780 shares, were bought and sold 65,824 times, with a total transaction amounting to NPR 13.4 billion, or NPR 1,348,958,597.

The production and processing sector dropped by 0.23% and the mutual funds sector decreased by 0.32%, while the indices of all other sectors saw an increase.

The finance sector saw the highest increase of 2.27%, followed by banking with an increase of 0.11%, development banks at 1.21%, hotels and tourism at 1.24%, hydroelectricity at 0.44%, and investment groups at 1.05%.

Similarly, life insurance rose by 0.23%, microfinance by 0.19%, non-life insurance by 1.27%, trade by 0.09%, and other sectors saw an increase of 1.68%.

The share price of Best Finance Company Limited saw the highest increase, rising by 9.91%. On the other hand, the share price of Ngadi Group Power Limited faced a negative circuit limit, showing the largest decrease.

In terms of transaction amount and the number of shares traded, Ngadi Group Power Limited had the highest trading volume, with shares worth NPR 540.7 million, totaling 1,077,685 shares traded.
