Six Books Short‑listed for the Madan Puraskar

Kathmandu – The shortlist for Madan Puraskar 2081 has been announced

The Madan Puraskar Guthi today unveiled its shortlist of seven books for the 2081 award.

Out of 299 books submitted in 2081 BS (April 15, 2024 – April 14, 2025), the Guthi selected these seven for the shortlist. From this list, one book will receive the prestigious Madan Puraskar.

The seven works shortlisted are:

• Urmāl by Chuden Kabimo

• Chālabāto: Kailās dekhi Gangām̐ samma by Ramesh Bhusal

• Darjyu Sanlāp by Kumari Lama

• Panchatattvako Pālam by Manprasad Subba

• Bahu­rūpī by Shreyaj Subedi

• Bhikshu, Vāpār ra Vidroh (Nepālko Bhōṭ–Chīn Sambandha ra Bhārat) by Sudhir Sharma

• Hiunkō Gīt by Tirtha Gurung
