RSP approaches Swarnim Wagle to contest Par by- election from Tanahu
Kathmandu: The Rashtriya Swatantra Party has been negotiating with former Planning commission vice chairman Swarnim Wagle to contest as its candidate for the by-election from Tanahu parliamentary constituency.
A host of RSP leaders including its chief Rabi Lamichhane, Parliamentarians Sishir Khanal and Sumana Shrestha have been negotiating with Wagle to join the RSP and contest the by-election from Tanahu slated for April 23.
The seat is lying vacant following resignation of Ram Chandra Poudel from Parliament following his election as the president early this month.
Wagle, an economist and former UN bureaucrat, has been laying low in Nepali Congress politics after he switched to anti Deuba camp. He was denied the ticket to contest the parliamentary election held in November.
