Rosalynn Carter, former first lady, dies at 96

Kathmandu, Nov 20: Rosalynn Carter, former first lady of the United States and a renowned mental health and women’s rights activist, passed away on Sunday at the age of 96.

Mrs. Carter is survived by her husband, Jimmy Carter, 39^th president of the U.S. and four children.

“Rosalynn was my equal partner in everything I ever accomplished,” said the Carter Center, quoting former president Carter, aged 99.
