Ronaldo Becomes the First Player to Reach 900 Goals

Cristiano Ronaldo has become the first player to score 900 goals in world football.

In a winning start in the National League football, Portugal defeated Croatia 2-1, with Ronaldo scoring the decisive goal for the team.

The 39-year-old Ronaldo scored the team’s second goal by taking advantage of a cross from Nuno Mendes in the 34th minute, from within the six-yard box. Earlier, Manchester United’s full-back Diogo Dalot had scored the first goal for the team, giving them the lead in the 7th minute.

While Ronaldo doubled the lead, Croatia tried to get back into the game with an own goal before halftime. Dalot scored an own goal in the 41st minute, making the score 2-1 at the break.

However, Ronaldo’s goal proved decisive for the team. No further goals were scored by either side in the second half. Ronaldo is currently playing professional football with Sporting Lisbon, Manchester United, Real Madrid, Juventus, and now Saudi Arabian club Al-Nassr in his illustrious career.

This is Ronaldo’s 131st goal for Portugal, making him the highest goal scorer in international football. With this win, Portugal and Poland are level on points in Group A. Poland had also defeated Scotland in their group match.
