Resham Chaudhary Released Within Hours of Arrest

Resham Chaudhary, the patron of the Nagarik Unmukti Party (NAUPAA), who was arrested from the party unification site, has been released.

Chaudhary, who was arrested around 1 PM on Wednesday and taken to Dillibazar Jail, was released around 5:30 PM in the evening.

He was released after the letter issued by a section officer of the Supreme Court, ordering his imprisonment, was revoked.

Based on a letter addressed to the Dillibazar Jail Office by section officer Mahiman Singh Bisht on Wednesday, the police had arrested Chaudhary from the party unification program itself.
