Rain Washes Away Vinaya River Diversion, Blocks Narayanghat-Butwal Road

Kathmandu – The Narayanghat-Butwal road was completely closed on Monday morning due to flooding.

In the Binayi Tribeni Rural Municipality-3 in Eastern Nawalparasi, a flood in the Khoriya River washed away the diversion at the Binay River, causing a transportation halt.

As a result, travelers have been stranded. Security forces from the Armed Police Force, stationed at the Nepal Security Base in Sardi, have been deployed to the area.

With the monsoon season in full swing, roads are increasingly being blocked in various parts of the country due to floods and landslides.
