Rabi Lamichhane files candidacy in Chitwan-2

Rabi Lamichhane, Rastriya Swatantra Party’s chairman, filed his nomination for the by-election for the parliament seat from Chitwan -2 being held on April 23.

The seat has fallen vacant as Lamichhane, who had won the November election from there stood disqualified subsequent to Supreme Court decision saying he did not have a valid Nepali citizenship at the time of election.

Monday is the last day for nomination for the by-election for the member of the House of Representatives (HoR) being held in Tanahu-1, Chitwan-2 and Bara-2

Tanahu-1 and Bara- 2 have fallen vacant following resignation by Ram Chandra Poudel and Ram Sahaya Prasad Yadav subsequent to their election as President and Vice President respectively.
