Quake with epicenter in Jajarkot kills at least 70
A powerful earthquake of 6.4 magnitude with epicenter in Jajarkot has taken more than 70 lives, leaving dozens injured.
The quake that hit west Nepal and a large part of North India at 11:47 pm Friday caused huge losses primarily in Jajarkot and West Rukum while tremor was felt in Kathmandu.
At least 34 people have been killed in Jajarkot, according to the Chief District Officer.
The death toll in Rukum surpassed 34, informed police.
Several houses have collapsed, however, the extent of full damage and loss of life is yet to come.
