Kathmandu – Following the resignation of Federal Affairs and General Administration Minister Rajkumar Gupta, there is growing public demand for a thorough investigation into the controversial audio incident.

Member of Parliament Surya Thapa, considered a close ally of Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, further urged for an investigation through a post on social media, emphasizing the need for an immediate probe into everyone involved in the matter.

In his Facebook post, MP Thapa stated, “The resignation of Rajkumar Gupta signifies an acceptance of the public demand for a thorough investigation into this serious issue. Who are the voices in this controversial audio? Are they genuine or fake? Is it a real voice or a technological trick? State investigative agencies must start their work immediately, identify those speaking in the public audio, and differentiate fact from fiction. No one found guilty should be spared. Investigations should not exclude any fixers, intermediaries, corrupt individuals, or fraudsters.”

Thapa clarified that this issue is not merely about accusations or a minister’s resignation but is aimed at ensuring good governance.
