Prachanda accuses Oli of plotting to dissolve the constitution.

Kathmandu, Oct 9; Maoist centre chief and former Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda has accused Prime Minister K P Oli of trying to ‘dismiss’ the current constitution.

Talking to Editors today, Prachanda said that Oli was trying to derail and dismiss the constitution in the excuse of amending them. ‘Oli has never felt comfortable with inclusive , proportional,  and federal character of the constitution . He was equally uncomfortable with the Republic order.’

Recalling Oli ‘s statement–that you can not reach America in ox-pulled cart– in the midst of peoples movement of 2006 , Prachanda said ‘Oli distaste this constitution and sees Maoist face in it.’  The need of the time is not a constitution amendment but empowering the federal units and executing constitution are the real issues.

He warned Oli and other constituents of the coalition not to make any changes in the constitution bypassing one of the two signatories of the comprehensive peace agreement. ‘After all this constitution is integrally connected with the CPA.” He said he does not want to criticize the government at the moment since it is a time of national crisis given the current flood situation , but he did not conceal his anger with the Prime Minister.

‘He is the most immoral Politician uttering lies always.’ He said the welcome former King Gyanendra was accorded in Bhutan indicated that  Nepal’s politics continued to be in crisis, but doubted Monarchy will ever return in Nepal.
