PM Oli criticised for last minute cancelation of scheduled visit to Jumla

Kathmandu; The cancellation of the convocation of the graduates from Karnali Health Institute scheduled in Jumla yesterday due to the last-minute decision of Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli found its echo in Parliament today.

At least two vocal members of the House–Gyanendra Shahi (RPP) and Sumana Shrestha (RSP) –criticised Oli ‘s decision leading to the cancelation of the programme for which 56 students and other dignitaries had reached remote Jumla to receive their degrees.

Prime Minister’s last minute decision not only caused enormous trouble for those who had already reached Jumla, but lakhs of rupees spent on the preparation and in travel of the graduates went into the drain, Shahi said, adding this must be realised from Oli, and not from the government.

The Prime Minister acted as a Feudal lord putting so many people in hardship. Among others, Dr Sanduk Ruit, famous world wide campaign for restoring vision to those needing, had reached there.

Sumana Shrestha from the RSP  said satirically that graduates in the remote areas are deprived of their right to the glorious event under Oli as Prime Minister.
