Kathmandu – Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has stated that former King Gyanendra Shah will not be spared.

Addressing the House of Representatives on Monday, he mentioned that the former King Shah was also involved in the violent movement of the royalist group that took place in Tinkune last Friday.

He claimed that anyone who engages in violent movements under any pretext will be brought under the purview of the law. He also accused former King Shah of inciting the crowd by issuing a video statement. He questioned, “Shouldn’t those who want to abolish the system and become king again make their position public on these series of disorderly incidents?”

He said, “Former King Gyanendra Shah issued a public video statement on February 19th (Falgun 7th) and incited the crowd. Former King Shah will not be spared either. Shouldn’t those who want to become king again and abolish the system make their position public on all these series of incidents?”

When Prime Minister Oli made statements against the former king, RPP (Rastriya Prajatantra Party) MPs stood up and protested in the House.
