Kathmandu – Prime Minister and Chairman of the Communist Party of Nepal-Unified Marxist Leninist has warned that those working as  ‘unauthorized’ spokespersons of former president Bidhya Bhandari may have to face disciplinary action.

Speaking at the Central committee meeting at Party Headquarter at Chyasal Monday, Oli said there are people who accompany Bhandari wherever she goes, and comment on it. ‘The party may not always remain mute spectator to these kinds of acts.’ Although he did not mention any name , it was apparently directed towards CC member Karna Thapa and few others who have been writing on social media on Party politics and Bhandari’s visit to China and parts of Nepal. Oli also revealed that actually he had invited former President Bhandari to the Prime Minister’s official residence on Sunday, but he agreed to meet her in the Party office in deference to her wishes. He said she wished to visit the Party office , and it was only natural to receive her there. But Oli apparently did not like the people accompanying her to the Party office. ‘Some new faces who are rarely seen in the Party office accompanied her .’

While Oli explained about his meeting with Bhandari, he lost his cool when some media people asked him about the move to remove the 70-year age bar and two term ceiling ?  ‘Which party does have these provisions? Why Should UML alone have it? , he asked forgetting it was his idea to make the Party different when he took over for the second time .
