No Disagreement Between Congress and UML: Chairman Deuba

Sher Bahadur Deuba, the Chairman of the Nepali Congress and former Prime Minister, has stated that there is no disagreement between the Congress and the CPN-UML regarding the multi-party democratic system and republican governance.

Speaking at a program held in Kathmandu on the occasion of the establishment day of the Nepal Civil Service Union on Wednesday, he assured that there would be full support as there are no differences between the Congress and the UML on the protection of democracy and republicanism.

He said, “We need to protect the democratic system. We all need to be involved in this. There may be differences in other matters, but on the issue of the multi-party democratic system and republican governance, there is no disagreement between the two parties. Therefore, we have full support.”

He mentioned that the country’s situation is challenging and emphasized that employees need to work with an understanding of these challenges.

He noted that the UML and Congress are the main competing political parties and mentioned that, despite some issues, resolving these problems is their duty.

He directed employees to implement government decisions without worry.

He further stated, “The current situation is challenging. Everyone understands where the challenges are. There is no need to be concerned. I am confident that, along with Oli and other colleagues, we need to make the current federal democratic republic even more stable.”
