NEPSE Index Surges 114 Points

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index has seen a significant improvement. Today, the NEPSE index increased by 114.70 points. Following a 4.57% growth, the index has stabilized at 2,623.56 points.

Today, 17.57 crore units of shares of 307 companies were traded 96,906 times, resulting in a turnover of Rs. 7 Arab, 61 Crore, 65 thousand, 228. The finance group has seen the highest increase today at 9.74%.

Similarly, banking increased by 3.83%, development banks by 5.48%, hotels and tourism by 5.97%, and hydropower by 5.98%. Investment grew by 6.10%, life insurance by 4.12%, manufacturing and processing by 2.19%, microfinance by 3.98%, mutual funds by 1.66%, non-life insurance by 3.09%, trading by 3.99%, and the other group by 4.67%.

Today, the share prices of 18 companies hit a positive circuit breaker. However, NMB-50 Mutual Fund saw the biggest decline in share price at 3.86%.

In terms of turnover, NLG Insurance Company Limited recorded the highest turnover of Rs. 280 million, 82 thousand, 83 thousand, 956 today. In terms of the number of shares traded, Api Power Company Limited saw the highest trading volume with 612,401 units of shares being bought and sold.
