NEPSE Index Sees Significant Drop of 59.02 Points

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index fell by 59.02 points today, closing at 2,529.33 points. Shares of 329 companies were traded 77,153 times, amounting to NPR 5.66 billion.

All group sub-indices declined, with the finance group dropping the most at 5.56%. Other sectors like banking, development banks, and hotels also saw decreases.

Out of 229 companies, only 14 saw an increase in share prices. Himalayan Hydropower Limited had the largest rise at 9.84%. Four companies, including Goodwill Finance, faced a 10% drop due to negative circuits.

Nepal Finance Limited recorded the highest transaction volume at NPR 211.34 million, while Lakshmi Sunrise Bank Limited had the most shares traded at 500,000.
