Nepal’s Support in the Fight Against Terrorism: Ministry of Foreign Affairs

Regarding the escalating tensions between India and Pakistan, Nepal has publicly stated its official position, mentioning that Nepal supports all forms of the fight against terrorism.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, issuing a press release on Thursday, stated that Nepal also stands in solidarity with India in its pain over the Pahalgam attack. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs mentioned that Nepal also lost a citizen in the Pahalgam attack and immediately condemned the attack in strong terms.

Nepal has expressed hope that the growing tension between the two countries will decrease. Furthermore, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that Nepal is committed to the peace and stability of the region. Similarly, Nepal has said that it will not allow its territory to be used against its neighbors.

In the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, India on April 22, 27 people, including a Nepali citizen, lost their lives. Two weeks later, on Tuesday night, India attacked nine alleged terrorist hideouts in Pakistan. Following India’s attack, Nepal has publicly expressed its support for the fight against terrorism.
