Kathmandu — Health and Population Minister Pradip Paudel has stated that major improvements are necessary in Nepal’s health sector.

Speaking at the 136th anniversary event of Bir Hospital, he noted that while some progress has been made, the sector is far from fully improved. He emphasized that the government must address citizens’ expectations for accessible healthcare services. He admitted that full institutional development has not yet been achieved and that development efforts remain incomplete.

Minister Paudel stressed that additional investment is needed to fully develop healthcare institutions. He warned that the state cannot neglect such a sensitive sector. He urged a well‑planned approach to hospital improvements and reaffirmed the Ministry’s commitment to providing the necessary health workforce.
