Nepali soldier in UN Peacekeeping mission injured in Lebanon
Kathmandu: A soldier from the Nepal Army in the UN Peacekeeping mission has sustained injuries in Southern Lebanon yesterday, Nepal army said.
According to Nepal Army spokesperson Brig Krishna Prasad Bhandari, the Nepali peacekeeper has sustained minor injuries after a mortar shell possibly landed around the area.
Incidentally, the news of Nepali peacekeeper sustaining injury near the border to Israel has come coinciding with the arrival of U N Secretary General Antonio Guterres.
The injured soldier is undergoing treatment in a hospital. But there are no further details available about the identity of the person injured.
