Kathmandu – Prime Minister K.P. Sharma Oli stated that “Nepal is advancing its development projects in accordance with its own capacity.”

Speaking on Friday in Kathmandu at the inauguration of the Nepal–China Culture Summit 2025, he emphasized that Nepal is progressing at its own pace, based on its resources and abilities.

He further highlighted that the relationship between Nepal and China is deepening, and that Nepal does not need external pressure or “gatchhe” (spokespeople) for friendship—it is able to foster mutual relations directly and genuinely. He added:

“Nepal is moving ahead with development at its own speed. We do not need intermediaries for friendship. We can manage relations ourselves according to our pace. Our relationship will become even broader in the days ahead.”

The Prime Minister also affirmed the government’s commitment to fully promote the friendly Nepal–China relationship, stating that no effort would be spared to strengthen ties.
