Nepal China sign the BRI execution framework
Kathmandu; Dec 4: Nepal and China have signed the execution framework of the Belt and Road Cooperation Initiative on the third day of Prime Minister K P Sharma Oli’s official visit to Beijing. The Framework agreement was signed today by the foreign secretaries of the two countries in the morning. Earlier Prime Minister Oli had told a gathering at Peking University that there would be multi-dimensional cooperation between Nepal and China as the two neighbours complete their seven decade long bilateral relations with the dawn of 2025.
The details of the execution framework are awaited, but it sends across a message that PM Oli prevailed upon the Nepali congress, the biggest coalition partner in the government. that was insisting only on grant for execution of the BRI projects that Nepal had signed seven years ago.
