Nepal books historical T20I win over Mongolia
Nepal has secured a record-making victory in the men’s T20 International cricket tournament played against Mongolia at Zhejiang University of Technology Pingfeng cricket ground under the 19th Asian Games today.
Nepal who bat after losing the toss made 314 runs-the highest total in the T20I- at the loss of 3 wickets.
The team Mongolia- set to chase a mammoth target at its debut in men’s cricket- was all out at 41 runs in 13.1 overs.
Nepal won with the margin of 273 runs- the highest in T20I followed by 257 runs of Czech Republic against Turkey in 2019.
The other records include; fastest T20I century (Kushal Malla at 34 balls), fastest T20I a half century (Dipendra Singh Airi at 9 balls) and the highest Sixes in an inning (26 sixes).
Nepal will play next match against Maldives.
