Malaysia to close all campsites for a week following a landslide killing more than 18 people
The Batang Kali landslide early morning Friday at the campground in Malaysia’s Selangor state took more than 18 lives and still missing more.
More than 90 people were reported to be sleeping there on Thursday night. According to BBC “at least 30 children and 51 adults were registered for an overnight stay.”
“The Malaysian government on Friday ordered a blanket ban on all campsites in the country after 18 people, including children, died in an early morning landslide at an unlicensed camping”, as mentioned in the SCMP.
