Locals around Koshi Barrage fetching logs (Pictures)
As monsoon rains feed Koshi river adding to its fury and turbulence, the locals around the Koshi barrage are vying with each other to fetch the wooden logs that the swirling river was carrying along.
The logs are normally used as cooking fuel by the farmers while some of them make money by selling it.
A cart full of logs normally fetches six to seven hundred rupees while a tractor full of logs fetches ten times more.
The villagers including women and children are risking their lives to collect the logs while some wait for the reason that makes them richer and their business without investment bloom.
