Indian mountaineer Maloo could be off ventilator Sunday
Kathmandu, Apr 28: Indian mountaineer Anurag Maloo may be taken off ventilator on Sunday if the current pace of progress continues.
Medicity Hospital sources said there was slow and steady progress in Maloo’s health condition.
‘He moved his toes for first time and that his other parameters are maintained he may be off ventilator Sunday’, said sources at the Medicity Hospital. Maloo has been undergoing treatment there since April 20, hours after he was rescued from a crevasses in the Mt Annapurna.
Maloo, aged 34 had fallen into a crevasses, from 6,000 m point between camp three and camp two of Mt Annapurna on April 17 and was rescued 68 hours later on April 20.
He had abandoned the expedition on April 16 after he failed to make it to the 8,091 m peak and fell into the crevasses on his return.
