HoR passes Government’s Policies and Programmes for FY 2025-26

Kathmandu, May 11: The meeting of the House of Representatives today has passed the Government’s Policies and Programmes for the Fiscal Year 2025-26 by majority.

Speaker Devraj Ghimire announced in the meeting that the policies and programmes have been passed by a majority.
President Ramchandra Paudel had presented the government’s policies and programmes document in the joint sitting of both houses of the Federal Parliament on May 2.

The Parliament continuously deliberated on the policies and programmes from May 5 to 11. On the last day of the discussions, Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli answered the questions raised by the MPs in course of the discussions on the document.

The amendments received on the policies and programmes were presented for decision in today’s meeting.

A total of 37 amendment proposals were registered, both individually and jointly, on the government’s policies and programmes. All of the amendment proposals were rejected.
