Kathmandu, 4 June: Prime minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal’s troubles have begun after his return from India. Along with him, president Ram Chandra Poudel who signed the controversial citizenship bill is also in trouble.
Determined opposition with members of the Communist Party of Nepal- Unified Marxist Lelinist, Rastriya Prajatantra Party, Rastriya Swatantra Party and the Nepal Majdoor Kisaan Party trooped into the well of the house as soon as the house assembled at 11 am.
Speaker Devraj Ghimire adjourned the house for an hour.
The opposition members wanted P M Dahal, who returned from India yesterday, mainly to explain why he got president Poudel to put his seal of approval to the citizenship bill barely an hour before he took off for Delhi.
The bill that had originated in the previous House that has since ceased to exist and former president Bidhya Devi Bhandrari had refused to put her signature on even after the house had sent her back the second time.
