High interest victims announce end of talk with govt and continuation of their struggle

The Kisan Majdoor Sangharsha Samiti that has been campaigning against private money lenders charging them exorbitant interest have announced end of their negotiation with the Dialogue Committee formed by the government.

The Sangharsha Samiti said that their dialogue with the government Committee during the past five days has brought no positive results, and as such ‘there is no point in carrying on with the negotiation,’ and added, ‘our struggle will continue’.

Nigra Nabin, speaking on behalf of the Samiti, alleged that the Dialogue Committee paid no heed to the 6-point demands put forward by the campaigners.
