Gokarna Mani Duwadi appointed as Home secretary

The Government has assigned the responsibility of the Home Secretary to Gokarna Mani Duwadi. The Cabinet meeting decided on Thursday evening to transfer Duwadi to the position of Home Secretary. However, Duwadi’s name was not mentioned in the Cabinet decisio earlier.

Duwadi is currently serving as the Secretary at the National Statistics Office under the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers. The position of Home Secretary has been vacant since the government appointed former Home Secretary, Ek Narayan Aryal, as Chief Secretary on Bhadra 13.

Although the 24 decisions publicly announced by the Cabinet on Friday did not mention the transfer of the Home Secretary, a decision was later made on Friday afternoon, with Duwadi’s name included, and the transfer letter was prepared and certified.
