Four complaints filed against Lamichhane’s candidature

Four complaints have been registered against Rastriya Swatantra Party’s chair Rabi Lamichhane who filed candidacy for the House of Representatives (HoR) from Chitwan-2.

The complaints were filed by rival candidates or their representatives together with advocate Yubaraj Paudel who has been crusading against Lamichhane’s candidacy.

All complaints seek annulment of his nomination claiming that the law does not allow anyone to contest the poll within 90 days of acquiring citizenship.

The returning officer will be settling the complaints by 3:00 pm Wednesday.
