Former Speaker Daman Nath Dhungana Passes Away

Former Speaker Daman Nath Dhungana has passed away.

He had been suffering from cancer. Some time ago, he had gone to India for treatment and had returned to Nepal. He passed away on Sunday afternoon during treatment at Frontline Hospital.

He served as the Speaker of the House of Representatives from 2048 to 2051, following the 1990 People’s Movement (Jana Andolan).
