Former King Shah Returns Home from Bhutan
Kathmandu: Former King Gyanendra Shah has returned home after a four-day trip to Bhutan, made at the invitation of the Royal Family there. Shah was warmly welcomed and accorded hospitality during his stay. While his secretariat described the visit as “personal,” it has sparked speculation about its political and diplomatic implications in Nepal.
During his visit, Shah addressed a gathering of North Pointers, which included some of his school classmates and other alumni. He was accompanied by his daughter, Prerana, niece Sitashma, and some members of his secretariat.
