Economy progressing satisfactorily: Governor Adhikari

Maha Prasad Adhikari, Governor of the Nepal Rastra Bank, has said that the economy of the country has been on the path to improvement.

Addressing the 26th anniversary of Society of Economic Journalists Nepal (SEJON) Thursday, Adhikari said “ We are ready to resolve any problems facing the private sector.”

Adhikari mentioned as compared to a deficit of Rs 88 billion last year, balance of payment remained at a surplus of Rs 6 billion this year .

Foreign exchange reserves were gradually increasing and other problems that the economy was suffering from are also being resolved, he stated. He also added that “There have been improvement in the balance of payment and foreign exchange side”.
