Dental Specialist Services Begin at Rukum East Hospital

East Rukum – For the first time in Rukum East district, a dental specialist—Dr. Tripurari Shukla—has been appointed at Rukum East Hospital, officially initiating specialized dental care services.

Dr. Shukla and newly appointed accountant Anjana Khatri were formally welcomed and honored. Attendees at the ceremony included:

Pushkal Shrestha, Acting Chief of the Rukum East Health Office

Vishnuhari Acharya, Acting Chief of the District Ayurveda Health Center

They emphasized the importance of delivering more effective services in the coming days.

While Accountant Khatri assumed her duties a few days earlier, Dr. Shukla began regular dental consultations starting Thursday. According to Acting Chief Dr. Kharel, additional administrative staff will be joining the hospital’s administration branch soon.

Speakers highlighted how the hospital is steadily improving its services, structure, and operational approach by addressing past weaknesses and urged everyone to move forward together with a positive mindset.

Although routine dental treatments were previously available, the arrival of a specialist marks a significant boost in both the quality and reliability of dental services—instilling renewed confidence in the community. Dr. Kharel, who relocated from the United States to serve in this mountainous region, has been instrumental in accelerating improvements in the hospital’s service delivery and infrastructure.
